For more than a quarter of a century, the Cattle Raisers Museum has entertained and educated visitors with the real story of the cattle and ranching industries in the Southwest. Our beautiful new museum, located within the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History in the Cultural District, opened November 20, 2009.

This state-of-the-art, 10,000-square-foot facility features many interactive exhibits and a fabulous new theater. It takes visitors on a memorable journey from the early days of ranching to the cattle industry of the future. Along the way, you can experience a video game that lets you operate a virtual ranch, a “Ride-Along Round-Up,” that takes you on a simulated cattle drive, and a glowing steer that demonstrates the many cattle by-products. You’ll also see a wide range of authentic artifacts – from branding irons to saddles – plus highlights from our rare photography collection.

We look forward to seeing you at our new location, within the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History – we’re now open daily, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed only on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!
